This village is famous as a birth-place of Vevrinec Caplovec and Martin Kukucin, two book collectors. Nowadays their collection contains 35 000 books, it is set in the Hviezdoslavovo muzeum in Dolni Kubin. The first written reference is from 14th century. Don´t miss the native building of Martin Kukucin with his room, other interesting buildings from 19th century and a Classicism church from 1836.
